10TradeFX is ranked #91 among CFD brokers. Deriv.com is ranked #91 among CFD brokers.
10TradeFX is an offshore regulated forex and CFD broker. The brand offers MetaTrader platform integration with spreads as low as 0.1 pips. The broker offers true STP and ECN execution. The low minimum deposit, social trading and funded trader account programme makes 10TradeFX appealing to new traders.
Deriv.com has closed or no longer accepts UK clients.
Established in 1999, Deriv is an innovative broker now serving over 2.5 million global clients. The firm offers CFDs, multipliers and more recently accumulators, alongside its proprietary derived products which can't be found elsewhere, providing flexible short-term trading opportunities.
Pros
  • I appreciate the flexible access to the MetaTrader 5 web and mobile platforms as well as TradingView charting and copy trading functionality
  • There are some diverse and popular asset classes on offer including forex, stocks, crypto and NFTs
  • I'm a fan of the comprehensive learning academy backed by London’s Association of Trading & Investment (ATI)
  • I like that traders can benefit from the Funded Trader program with up to $500,000 account size and 70% profit split
  • Deriv stands out with its innovative products, from multipliers and derived indices to its addition of accumulator options, providing exclusive short-term trading opportunities.
  • Account funding is a breeze with a very low minimum deposit of $5 and a huge selection of payment options, plus Tether was added to the cashier in 2023.
  • Although response times trail alternatives in our personal experience, Deriv offers 24/7 support and is one of the few brokers to offer WhatsApp assistance.
  • After integrating TradingView and adding MT5 web trader, Deriv now offers a first-class selection of charting tools across desktop, web and mobile devices.
Cons
  • I'm disappointed that the broker is regulated offshore by the Seychelles Financial Services Authority (SFSA) and is not overseen by any top-tier authority
  • I don't like how limited the shares offering is at 10TradeFX, putting them low in my rankings for market availability
  • Apart from the MFSA in the EU, Deriv lacks top-tier regulatory credentials, reducing the level of safeguards like access to investor compensation.
  • Although there’s a basic blog, there's little in terms of technical analysis or market reports which could help active traders identify potential opportunities.
  • While the Academy launched in 2021 is a step in the right direction, there is limited education on advanced trading topics for seasoned traders and no live webinars to upskill new traders.
  • Leverage up to 1:1000 will appeal to traders with a large risk appetite but frustratingly there is no ability to flex the leverage in the account area.

Copy Trading Platform
Deriv allows clients to replicate the positions of experienced traders through signals on DMT5. You can receive signals in real-time and decide whether to action trades in your own account. The best part is that the process of copying is fully automated, which is ideal for beginners seeking a hands-off approach. Deriv is also one of a select few cTrader brokers to support copy trading for hands-off investing opportunities.

CFD
10TradeFX offers 200+ CFDs available to trade on the MT5 terminal. This is a relatively small range compared to most competitors I've reviewed. That said, the minimum deposit requirement to get started is only $50, which is great news for beginners. Since broadening its range of CFDs in 2023, Deriv now offers trading on rising and falling prices across hundreds of global financial markets. This includes the firm’s exclusive synthetic indices which imitate real markets but run around the clock for additional trading opportunities.

Forex
My tests uncovered an average range of 40+ major, minor and exotic currency pairs with spreads as low as 0.1 pips and leverage up to 1:500. I like that the broker offers flexible contract sizes between 0.01 and 1 lot. Deriv has expanded its range of currency pairs, now enabling clients to go long or short on a over 40 major, minor and exotic currency pairs. Spreads on EUR/USD are also competitive at 0.44 pips, especially since being slashed in 2021, while forex CFDs are available via MT5 and multipliers on the broker's beginner-friendly DTrader.

Cryptocurrency
There are 10+ crypto instruments available, including Bitcoin, Ethereum and Litecoin. Again, this is pretty limited for active crypto traders but I am glad to see some popular altcoins available 24/7 including Polkadot and Chainlink. Deriv.com continues to offer a strong selection of 30+ crypto pairs - more than double the range offered at competitor, IQ Cent. 1:2 leverage on crypto is also available allowing traders to magnify potential returns, and there are zero commissions, catering to aspiring traders looking for simple pricing.
